Ultimate Frisbee Player
I have been playing ultimate frisbee since elementary school but only started oraganized play in college. It's a great hobby that keeps me in shape, fuels my competitive fire, and has given me lifelong friendships. Ultimate is an incredibly underrated sport, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Video Editor
I edit videos for YouTube and other platforms in my pastime. It’s a useful skill and it's a great outlet for my creativity. For example, here is a video I edited for my YouTube channel following the College Ultimate Frisbee scene.
Eagle Scout
From first grade, until I graduated from high school I’ve been intensely involved with Boy Scouts. In that time, I grew a love for the outdoors while also developing life skills I still use today. My Boy Scouting journey has left me with two profound lessons.
First, developing my leadership style. My leadership style takes a listening approach, where communitation is key. Listening and understanding your teammate's is vital for completeing any task as a unit. Futhermore, it's important to lead by example, if you don't apply the appropriate effort in order to succeed, then neither will your teammates.
Second, emergency preparedness is important. Whether in the middle of the woods or at home, it requires careful planning and taking precautions. Additionally, you must have the ability to stay calm and composed during an emergency situation.
